Virginia Wiggs, 66, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013, at home after a short battle with cancer.Virginia was born in Denver, Colo. and lived most of her adult life in Orange Park Fla., and Chattanooga.Virginia was preceded in death by her father; three sisters; two brothers; mother, Betty Willis; and daughter, Kristina Wiggs Smith.Virginia is survived by her husband of 40 years William Daniel Wiggs III; daughter and son-in-law, Yvonne and Todd Varwig; son, Samuel Wiggs; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Gene Bass; son-in-law, Rick Smith; grandchildren, Rachel Smith, Joel Smith, Tyler Varwig and Connor Varwig; sister-in-law, Anita Missal; several nieces and nephews and many close friends.The family would like to thank the team at Chattanooga Kidney Center and Amedisys Hospice for the caring treatment that was given to Virginia during this time.A Memorial Service will be held at Heritage Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, with Rick Smith officiating.Visitation will be held at the funeral home noon until service time.The inurnment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Virginias honor to a charity of your choice.Visit www.heritagefh.com to share words of comfort to the family and view the memorial tribute.
