RINGGOLD Carl Western Lunsford, 89, passed away Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013.A resident of the Ringgold area for most of his life, he enjoyed gardening and playing his guitar and was of the Church of God faith.He was preceded in death by wife, Rachel Lunsford; parents, Jesse Ray and Millie Wright Lunsford; children, Carl and Teresa Lunsford; sister, Pauline Bennett and five brothers, Ellis, Howard, Willis, Fred and Winford Lunsford.He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Lunsford, of Dalton, Ga.; daughter and son-in-law, Lillian and Raymond Parrish, of Racine, Wis.; son, Roger Lunsford, of Ringgold, Ga.; sister, Betty Lunsford Guffey of Rock Spring, Ga.; three brothers, Dennis Lunsford of Ringgold, Robert Lunsford, of Ringgold, and David Lunsford, of Ooltewah; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel.Interment will follow at Anderson Memorial Gardens.
