Lillian Lemmons

LaFAYETTE Lillian Jantellia Lemmons, 87, passed away peacefully Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013 at 2 p.m. She is a lifelong Christian and attended Cooper Heights Church of God. Jan loved to cook, attend church and loved doing craft work. Charlene Lemons, a niece from Marietta, loved and cared for Jan after her daughter passed in 2003. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Dixie Jayne Lemons; mother, Victoria Bishop; brothers, Jimmie Lemons, Morris Lemons, Billy Lemons; one sister, Ouida Lemons. She has two granddaughters, Vicki Jan Alexander, of California, Bethany Deanne Kelly Grocutt, of the United Kingdom; four great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. The family would like to give friends an opportunity to come by and pay their respects to Jan Lemmons today from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. today in Cheatham Hill Memorial Park in Marietta, GA. Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Homes -LaFayette Chapel 706-638-1122.
