Pauline Bowen

Pauline R. Bowen, 82, of Chattanooga went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013, at Clay County Care Center in Hayesville, North Carolina.She was born in Dunbar, Va., on April 28, 1931 the late Daniel and Minnie Ethel Hayes. She was a loving wife and mother. She will be missed. She attended Morris Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her son, William J. Bowen, Jr. (1993) and grandson Douglas Curry (2005); Her brothers and sisters, Kanoy Hayes, Gertrude Sarber, Glenn Hayes, and Thelma Maroon also pre-deceased her.Survivors are her husband of 65 years, William J. Bowen, Sr.; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Clyde Curry Jr., of Hayesville, N.C.; sister, Shirley Wheatley, of Orlando, Fla.; grandchildren, Clyde (Leeda) Curry III, Karen Killian, Cheri and Jason Clay; and great-grandchildren, Emily and Fianc Adam, Ashley, Analee, Ellie, Lawson and Kaitlyn. Visitation will be today from 2-3 p.m. at the funeral home with funeral services following at 3 p.m. conducted by Pastor Bill Mason of Morris Hill Baptist Church. Interment will be at Ooltewah Cemetery.
