Alymas Ford

Alymas Ford, 86, passed away Saturday Dec. 7, 2013. He was a lifelong resident of Harrison and was a member of the of the Brittsville Baptist church. He was a member of the Antique Auto Club, Chickamauga chapter, and BMW Motorcycle Club. He was an employee of central soya for over 35 years ,upon his retirement. He was born to the late Arthur and Velma Davis Ford. He was also preceded by his wife Alice Mae Ford; one brother Marvin Ford; and sister Shirley Rutterburr. Survivors include 2 sons Douglas (Gail) Ford, of Chattanooga and James Ford, of Harrison; one daughter Pat Manies, of Harrison; three brothers, Arthur, Bryan and George Ford, all of Harrison; three sisters, Barbara Malone and Nancy McGinnis, both of Harrison, and Shelba Fuller, of Valdosta, Ga.; sister-in-law Catherine (Lynn) Allen; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. today at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Ronnie Dotson and Rev. Ken Purdee officiating. Burial will follow in the Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Terry, Mike and Josh Holt, Sammy and Johnny Malone and George Ford serving as Pallbearers.
