Adelene Bonner

Adelene Collins Bonner, 92, of Chattanooga, passed away Monday, Dec. 16, 2013. She was born in Newnan, Ga., and a resident of the Chattanooga area for over 50 years and was retired from Sears and Roebuck after 30 years of service. Adelene will be remembered as a loving wife, mom, mother-in-law and grandmother whose trust in God was a testament to all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred M. Bonner Sr.; infant son, Phillip Bonner; infant daughter, Sandra Bonner; and parents, Edward Collins Sr. and Essie Collins. She is survived by three children, Robert "Bob" (Carolyn) Bonner, of Ringgold, Ga., Truitt (Jo) Bonner, of Harrison and Freddie (Cindy) Bonner Jr., of Birchwood, Tenn.; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Brett DeHart officiating. Interment will follow at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. today. and from noon-2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
