Sherry Stokes-Porter KNOXVILLE Sherry Stokes-Porter, 55, formerly of Chickamauga, Ga., died on Friday, Dec. 20, 2013 at Tennova Hospital in Knoxville. Sherry was the daughter of the late Billy and Jackie Stokes, and was preceded in death by her brother in law Dallas Porter. She was an avid motorcyclist and a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Sherry is survived by her husband, Don Porter; children, Amanda (Gary) Blakely and Alex Porter; her grandchildren, Hayden and Karson; brother Pete (Hannah) Stokes; niece and nephews, Abbie and Jack Stokes, and Trey Rider; her brother-in-law Jeff (Trudi) Porter; many other loving relatives and close friends. The funeral service will be Friday, Dec. 27, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway with the Rev. Steve Camp officiating. Burial will be at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday, Dec. 26 from 2-4 p.m. and from 6-8 p.m., and Friday from Noon until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
