Ray Moser

Raymond Curtis Moser, 87, of Middle Valley, Tenn., went home to be with His Savior on Monday, Dec. 23, 2013. Ray was born and raised in Red Bank and served our country during World War II in the U. S. Navy. He retired from TVA. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in North Red Bank where his beautiful singing voice was used to glorify the Lord. He was raised in the Church of the Nazarene and sang with several different gospel quartets but was best known for his solo voice which will be remembered by all who ever heard it. Now he sings in glory. Raymond is preceded in death by his parents Hugh and Carrie Moser. Raymond is survived by his wife, Mary Evangeline "Vangie" Moser; son, Raymond Andrew (Novella) Moser; sister, Betty Payne, of Tiftonia; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Moser will lie in state from 12 to 12:30 p.m. on Friday at the church Funeral service for Raymond will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday Dec. 27, at Calvary Baptist Church, 5201 Dayton Blvd, Red Rank, TN 37415 with Reverend Curtis Henderson and Reverend Dwight Martin officiating. Burial will follow for Raymond in Chattanooga National Cemetery with full military honors. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made in Raymonds name to the American Legion Post 195, the Sam McConnell Chapter, PO Box 1356, Hixson, TN 37343 or the VVA 203, PO Box 23405, Chattanooga, TN 37422.
