Addie Gross

Addie Bel Roark Gross, of Crossville, Tenn., went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013. Her mother and father were the late Grover and Willie Roark. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Trudy Davenport, Ola Mae Neal and Ruth Henry; and two brothers, Reuel Roark and W. G. Roark. She is survived by her husband, Adam Gross: two sons, Timothy (Jackie) Gross, of Wasilla, Alaska, and Terry (Valerie) Gross, of Spring City, Tenn. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marleita Carmicheal, of Hixson and Clara (Cooter) Folkner, of Chattanooga, as well as several nieces and nephews who also survive her. Addie worked for many years for EPB in Chattanooga and moved to Crossville upon retirement. The family will receive friends from noon-3:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel Funeral services for Addie will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. on Monday in the funeral home Chapel. Interment will follow will follow the services to Hamilton Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to American Diabetes Association, 1701 North Beaurogard St., Alexandria, VA 22311.
