Jane Misiewicz

Jane Misiewicz, 92, passed away peacefully at home in Chattanooga, on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013.She was born in Millbury, Mass., to Julian and Anna Malicki. Jane grew up in Worcester, Mass., where she met her husband Victor Misiewicz and married on July 5th, 1947. Jane and Victor moved to Gardner, Mass., where they started a heating, air and sheet metal business as well as their family. They moved to St. Petersburg, Fla., in 1964 where she resided until present.In addition to being a mother of five Jane assisted in running the family business and held office in multiple Polish American organizations. She was an active parishioner of St. Josephs and Blessed Trinity Catholic Church where she was a member of the choir for over 40 years.Jane was an avid traveler, visiting every continent except Antarctica and while she was at home she enjoyed playing bridge, bowling and most of all spending time with her children and grandchildren whom she dearly loved.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother.She is survived by her children Carol (Kirby) Howell, Mary (John) Talbird, Paul (Lisa) Misiewicz, Peter( Hollis) Misiewicz, Dr. Joseph Misiewicz; 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at the Basilica of Saint Peter & Paul with Monsignor George Schmitt serving as Celebrant.The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at the Church prior to the service.Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.Please share your thoughts and memories at www.ChattanoogaEastChapel.com.Arrangements are by the Chattanooga Funeral Home Crematory & Florist, East Chapel, 404 S.
