A.C. JohnsonROSSVILLE A.C. "Red" Johnson, 82, departed this life Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013. He was born in Chattanooga, to the late Benjamin and Myrtle Johnson. Red retired from Cobble Tufting Machine Co. after 30+ years of service there and he was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Marie Brodie Johnson; children, Debbie Coppinger, Joan Abbott all of Rossville, Wanda Mitchell, Penny Cordell, both of LaFayette, Tom Brodie, of Raleigh, N.C., Larry Brodie, of Ringgold; sisters, Gertrude Oliver, of Trenton, Louise Coats, of Hooker; several grandchildren; great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2013 in the chapel with Brother Jackie Daniels officiating.Interment will follow in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.Family will receive friends from 4 until 8 p.m. today and prior to the service Friday at the funeral home.Arrangements are by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, Fort Oglethorpe.
