Jim Wileman

James Emmett Wileman died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, after a short illness. He was 66.Born in Atlanta, he spent his early years there before moving to Tennessee at age 8 where he was raised on a dairy farm near Dunlap. He graduated from Bledsoe County High School in 1964, marrying his high school sweetheart Lucie Ann Greening. They moved to Chattanooga where Jim worked many years as a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union, Local 43. He realized a dream by graduating from Chattanooga State Community College in 1990. He then worked for TVA until his retirement.He is survived by Lucie, his wife of 49 years; his son, Michael and daughter-in-law, Malini Wileman, of Glastonbury, Conn.; His daughter, Lisa Wileman, of Chattanooga; his son, Harv Wileman, of Signal Mountain; and Harvs daughter, Ella.There will be a public memorial service in Marr Chapel of Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church at 3 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 15.The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Jims memory to the American Diabetes Association.Arrangements are by Hamilton Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 4506 Hixson Pike. 423-531-3975.
