Steve Nichols

Steven "Steve" Douglas Nichols, 48, of Chattanooga, departed this life Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, following a car accident. Steve was a 1982 graduate of McCallie School, he then served in the United States Navy, and after the Navy he came back to Chattanooga to manage the family business at Kochs Bakery. He was an avid gunsmith holding his 07 classification and was the owner & operator of SDN Gun shop in Chattanooga. He was a member of the NRA and a member of Calvary Chapel. Steve was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Nichols, brother, Dwayne Nichols, stepfather, Lyle Davis. Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Nichols; mother, Barbara Davis; children, Candace Nichols, Steven Nichols II, Thomas Nichols. all of Chattanooga; and niece, Elizabeth Rutkowski. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013 in the funeral home chapel.Interment will be held on Monday, Feb. 25, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
