Gussie Virginia Buffett Taylor, 94, of Chattanooga, passed peacefully away on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013.She attended Lake Vista United Methodist Church and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Lodge #417 at Ider, Ala.She was born on the original Armistice Day, Nov. 11, 1918 in Chattanooga. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gus and Grace Buffett; and her siblings, Ruth Newell, Mildred Williams, Polly Howard, Lucy Ford, Raymond Buffett and Johnny Buffett. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Oscar Underwood Taylor, of Henagar, Ala.She will be greatly missed by her family, including her children, Terrell (Robin) Taylor, Patsy (Larry) York, Marilyn (Gordon) McGlohon and Connie (Michael) Hamilton; and her grandchildren, Greg (Kim) York, Todd Taylor, Jeff Taylor, Michael (Dede) York, Tara (Pete) Schaefer, Tristan (Paula) Taylor, Jason (Jennifer) McGlohon, Jeremy (Emily) McGlohon, Matthew (Kristi) Hamilton and Leigh (Sam) Linhoss; additionally her sister-in-law, Jody Buffett, brothersin-law, John Ford and Leon Howard; several nieces and nephews; and 19 beautiful great-grandchildren.We want to especially thank her caregivers at Elmcroft of Shallowford, Heartland Village.Please share your thoughts and memories at www.ChattanoogaNorthChapel.com.Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, and funeral services at noon with Rev.
