Novella Crutcher

Novella Crutcher, 101, of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, at her residence.She was a faithful member of New Vernon Grove Missionary Baptist Church.She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jimmie Robinson and William Crutcher; daughter, Annie Pearl Robinson; sisters, Odessa Talley and Zera Birdsong. Survivors include daughters, Mollie Congo, Bernice Wright, and Betty Estes, all of Chattanooga; stepsisters, Della Mae Crutcher and Lula Belle Ford, both of Huntsville, Ala.; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 35 great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins; other relatives and friends. The body will lie-in-state after 2 p.m. today at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at New Vernon Grove M.B. Church with Pastor Harris Toney as the eulogist.Burial: Forest Hills Cemetery.
