Sr.Joseph Martin "Joe" Lyles Sr., 70, of East Ridge passed away Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at his home.He was a most beloved husband, father and "Pop" to five grandchildren.He was a member of South Seminole Baptist Church and the Tennessee Board of Opticians. He had worked for Chattanooga Optical as an Optician and retired from Williford Optical.Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Allen Lyles and Dorothy Frances Wood Lyles; and a brother, Robert Allen Lyles.Survivors include his wife, Lynda Murray Lyles; children, Kristy Lyles (Steven) Parker, Col. Joseph M. (Marianne) Lyles and Stacye Noelle (Frank) Earnhardt; five grandchildren, Noelle Parker, Lyndsay Parker, Brody Earnhardt, Kota Earnhardt and Zane Earnhardt.A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, at South Seminole Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Ron Perry officiating.The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. today at the church.Honorary pallbearers will be Steven Parker, Frank Earnhardt, Brody Earnhardt, Kota Earnhardt, Zane Earnhardt and Jack Rowan.Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga or to South Seminole Baptist Church Youth Group.Please share your thoughts and memories at www.ChattanoogaEastChapel.com.Arrangements are by the Chattanooga Funeral Home, East Chapel, 404 S.
