CROSSVILLE Noble Eugene "Gene" Hill, 80, passed away Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, at Cumberland House in Crossville.He was born Jan. 31, 1932 in Cumberland County, Tenn., son of the late Walter Lloyd and Katie Maxwell Hill.Mr. Hill was retired from Bowater Southern Paper Co.and a member of Central Baptist Church.He is survived by wife, Connie Barnwell Hill; son, Richard Hill and wife, Jolanda Jansma, Maryville, Tenn.; stepsons, Todd Smith, Harriman, Tenn., Ron Smith, Murfreesboro, Tenn.; stepdaughter, Carla Yarbro, Decaturville, Tenn.; brothers, William T. (Reiko) Hill, Bath, Maine, Jack G. (Mae) Hill, Mt. Juliet, Tenn.; sister, Dorothy (Gene) Farley, Nashville; aunt, Katherine "Kitty" Ryan, Crossville, Tenn.; sister-in-law, Charlene Hill, Crossville, Tenn.; grandchildren, Carissa and Erik Hill; Teea Smith, Jake and Johnathan Ganter.In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother, Raymond L. Hill.Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Bilbrey Funeral Home in Crossville.The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from noon to 1 p.m. at Bilbrey Funeral Home.Bilbrey Funeral Home, Crossville, Tenn., in charge of arrangements.
