Sonia Williams

Sonia McGhee Purnell Williams, a Chattanooga native passed away on Thursday June 6, 2013 in a Florida nursing home. She was formerly employed as receptionist for Franklin-Strickland Funeral Home.She was preceded in death by her parents, John R. and Viola McGhee; brothers, Richard McGhee, wife and family and John McGhee.Survivors include children, Boyer (Virginia, Franklin (Kathy Ann) both of Chattanooga; and Karen Purnell of Orlando, Fla.; sister, Dorris M. Bone and sister-in-law, Wynonna McGhee, both of Chattanooga; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two nieces, one nephew.Graveside services were held on June 10, at Florida National Cemetery.Announced by John P.
