Lucille Paris

HIGHPOINT Lucille Victoria Hixon Paris, 87, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, July 7, 2013.She was a lifelong resident of Highpoint and a member of Lookout Baptist Church. Her family and church were the center of her life, where precious memories were made in the Dorcas Sunday School Class.Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Wilburn H. Paris Sr.; and parents, Rev. William Luther and Beulah Daniel Hixon.She is survived by her children, Vicki Cash and Bill (Veda) Paris, both of Highpoint; sisters, Gert Hisey and Betty Thompson, both of Highpoint; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at Lookout Baptist Church, with Brother Terry Burns officiating.Interment will follow in Old Lookout Baptist Church Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. today, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home and the body will lie in state at the church from 2 p.m. until the funeral service at 3 p.m. on Wednesday.Arrangements by W.L.
