Robert "Bob" Lewis Lilly, 89, of Chattanooga, died Sunday, July 7, 2013, at Summit View Assisted Living.Robert was born Jan. 30, 1924 in Stevenson, Ala. Bob was a U. S. Navy WWII Veteran serving from 1942-1945. He was a retired TVA Sequoia Plant warehouseman. Mr. Lilly was a member of the Hill City Masonic Lodge #603. He was a devoted husband, beloved father and grandfather. His smile, stories and sense of humor will be greatly missed.A special thanks goes to the staff and friends of Summit View Assisted Living for their exceptional care and kindness.Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Inez Elizabeth Jordan Lilly; parents, Robert Lee Lilly and Anne Maude Timberlake Templeton; siblings, Leslie D. Lilly and Evelyn Campbell.Survivors include his sons, Richard Michael (Alisa) Lilly, of Elkmont, Ala., and Lewis Jordan (Kathy) Lilly, of Rossville; grandchildren, David Lilly, Kevin Lilly, Sherry Varner, Machel Wade; and several great-grandchildren.Visitation will be 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, Ala.The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel officiated by the Rev.
