Nancy Lord

Nancy Sue Rollins Lord, 96, of Chattanooga passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at a local hospital.She was a descendant of the Kirkland family who were early settlers in the Chattanooga area.Mrs. Lord graduated from Chattanooga High School and attended the University of Chattanooga.She was a talented rug hooker, having made many floral hooked rugs during her life.She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Minnie Rollins; and her husband, Willis V. Lord.Survivors include her sons, W. Vincent (Katherine) Lord Jr. and Rodney A. Lord; grandchildren, Nancy (Joel) Anderson, Kathy (Clay) Newman, W. Vincent (Heather) Lord III, Rebecca (Ash) Swayne, Allison Lord, Weston Lord; and eight great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be held 11:15 a.m. today, July 12, at First Christian Church, 650 McCallie Ave. in Chattanooga with Rev.
