Robert Wrinkle

Robert "Bob" Eugene Wrinkle, a lifelong resident of Chattanooga went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 18, 2013.He attended Chamberlain Baptist Church.He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War having received the Bronze Star, Occupation Medal and Korean Service Medal. He was a former member of the Gambilleers, one of Chattanoogas all-time great amateur baseball teams, coached by the late Jeff Hester. The Gambilleers were sponsored by the late Gordon Gambill. Bob retired from the Electric Power Board after 40 years of service.He was preceeded in death by his mother and father, Winnie and L.D. Wrinkle; nephew, Bill Stanfiel.He is survived by his wife, Virginia Wrinkle, of Chattanooga; sons, Reggie and Dewayne Wrinkle, of Hixson; nieces, Jan Camp, Robin Wright, Kathryn Brown; nephew Bob Stanfiel Jr.; great-nieces, Sarah-Beth Camp, Leanne Camp, Savannah Camp and Shelby Stanfiel; great-nephew, Ryan Brown.The family will receive friends nnon-1:30 p.m. on Monday, July 22, 2013, at the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home or you may visit the online guestbook @ www.turnerfamilyfuneralhome.comThe funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday at Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors.Arrangements are by Turner Funeral Home, Inc.
