GRUETLI-LAAGER Gene Cleek, 77, passed away Thursday morning, July 25, 2013.He was a co-owner of Cleeks Garage, attended Sweeton Hill Methodist Church and was a member of the Grundy County Bass Club.He was born in Palmer, Tenn., on April 30, 1936 to Hearl and Lillie Ross Cleek who preceded him in death along with his brothers, Don and Charles Cleek; sisters, Olean Hart and Kennetha Suter; sons, Gary and Dennis Cleek; grandson, Jeremy Layne.He is survived by his wife, Alpha Gay Dishroon Cleek; daughters, Gina Cleek, Vicki (Mike) Winton and Lisa Layne; brother, Bill Cleek; twin sister, Shelva Jean (Austin) Lewis; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in the funeral chapel with Ministers, John Potts, Jacob Anderson, Mike Winton and Keith McBee officiating with burial to follow in Palmer Cemetery.Visitation 3-9 p.m. today at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tenn. www.laynefuneralhome.com
