Mrs. Alice Williams Cobb, 81, began her reunion celebration with her many loved ones on Thursday, June 13, 2013.This authentic southern belle achieved what we believe to be the greatest honor recognized by our Heavenly Father. She was a devoted wife and a nurturing mother. She was passionate about her family, football and Captain Kangaroo. She was a member of Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church and was once named the Volunteer of the Year for her service with the 'Story Hour Group' for children at the Hixson Library. Her family is eternally grateful for this magnificent woman's contributions and we pray that she "will go out with joy and be led forth with peace; the mountains and the hills will break forth into shouts of joy before her, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands." Isaiah 55:12.She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Bob Cobb; and her three daughters, Alice "Alissa" Cobb, Becky Cobb, Courtney "CoCo" Dauer; her son in-law, Jerry Dauer and her sister in-law, Joan Williams and Alabama family.The family will receive friends on Monday, June 17 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel.A celebration of life service be conducted at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, June 17, in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Art Jones and Rev. Margaret Ferguson.Interment will be in private in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
