Ashley Adcock

Ashley Nicole Adcock, formerly of Hixson, passed away on Saturday June 15, 2013 in a hospital near her home in Nashville, Tenn. Ashley was 28 years old.Ashley was born and raised in Hixson, Tennessee. She attended Ganns Middle Valley Elementary School and graduated from Soddy Daisy High School in 2003. Ashley was a member of the National Honors Society and an editor for the Year Book. She graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with honors in 2007, where she received her Business Marketing Degree. Ashley loved twirling and dancing from a very young age of 4. She enjoyed competing at Crawford Dance Studio, ASTO and United Twirling. She helped coach many individuals and she also enjoyed judging competitions. Ashley was employed at Service Source in Nashville and attended Cross Point Church also in Nashville. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Ridley Smith and her grandparents, Leonard and Bertha Adcock.Ashley is survived by her loving parents, Dickie and Sue Adcock, Sr.; brother, Dickie Lynn Adcock, Jr.; niece and nephew, Soraya and Gabe Adcock; her longtime friend, Regina and Matt Cottingham; her fianc, Marlon Antwung Brewer; grandmother, Emma Smith and several aunts, uncles and cousins.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. today at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Abbas House at 5208 Hixson Pike in Hixson, Tennessee 37343.A celebration of Ashleys life will follow at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the church with Pastor Ronnie Phillips, Jr. and Bro. Robert Cyphers officiating. Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in Ashleys name to the United States Twirling Association at 18511, SR 501, Wapakoneta, Ohio 45895 or American Lung Association at 1466 Riverside Drive, Suite D, Chattanooga, Tennessee 37406.
