LaFAYETTE Audrey Hixson Chapman, 81, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2013.She was born to the late Jim and Essie Hixson in Ringgold on Jan. 8, 1932.Audrey was of the Baptist faith, a former employee of Barwick Mills and enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Claude, Doyle, Junior, James Allen, Herman and Thurman Hixson; sister, Dorothy Thompson.Survivors include her husband, Paul Z. Chapman; three sons, Paul Chapman Jr., Carl Van Chapman and Jimmy Boyd Chapman, all of LaFayette; brothers, Lamar Hixson, of Ringgold, Ed Hixson, of Chickamauga, Charles Hixson, of Ringgold and Leon Hixson, of Dalton; granddaughter, Alisha (Justin) Bandy,The family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. today and prior to the service at 2 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home chapel.Interment will follow in LaFayette Memory Gardens.Online guestbook available at www.wilsonfuneralhome.com Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Homes, LaFayette Chapel.
