Marion Haynes

Sr.Marion G. Haynes Sr., 67, passed away Thursday June 20, 2013 after a lengthy illness. He was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga and attended Heritage Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was retired from W.R. Grace Company after 45 years where he was a master Craftsman. Mr. Haynes also served on the United Way Allocation Committee / Counselor.He was born to the late Marion and Imogene Haynes and was preceded in death by a son Gene Haynes; and one Brother Richard Haynes.Survivors include his wife Christine "Cheeco" Haynes; three sons Marion Gene Haynes Jr. Gene( Misty) Haynes and Ray Burnette; three daughters Terri Haynes, Tania (Chad) Mize, Angel (Joshua) Longtin; three brothers Gary (Carrie) ,Mike (Karen) and Jeff (Barbara) Haynes ; a sister Linda (Fred) Cagle; grandchildren Stephen, Ali and Megan Burnette, Hannah and David Reed Jr., Christian and Caley Haynes, and Chace Robinson; several nieces and nephews.Funeral services were held Sunday June 23 at 2 p.m. from the Turner Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Blake Tinsley officiating.Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery.Arrangements by the Highway 58 chapel of Turner Funeral Home, 3913 Webb Road., 622-3171
