Raymond Wallin

Sr.,CHICKAMAUGA Raymond "Mark" Lamar Wallin Sr., 64, passed away Friday, March 8, 2013. He was born in Walker County, Ga., to the late William "Buster" Wallin and Amy Ruth Oliver Wallin. He was a lifelong resident of Northwest Georgia. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War as a Seabee and also served in the National Guard. He was a diesel mechanic for 35+ years and had worked for Ryder, Lee-Smith and Penske where he retired after twenty years of service. He was a member of Dry Creek Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, Treasurer, Sunday School Teacher, Choir Director and Youth Leader. He loved serving The Lord and enjoyed serving at his church. He is survived by his wife of forty three years, Euphemia Bell Wallin, of Chickamauga, Ga.; their sons, Raymond L. Wallin, Jr., and fiance, Cindy Black, of LaFayette, Ga., Chad C. and Leah M. Wallin, of Ringgold, Ga.; brothers, Larry and Charlene Wallin, of Michigan, Donald "Don" Eugene and Martha Ann Wallin, of LaFayette, Ga.; a special uncle and aunt, James E. and Jo Wallin, of LaFayette, Ga.; grandchildren, Keisha, Chris, Chase and Logan C. Wallin and Cody Lamar Armbrust, several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. today and Tuesday morning until the service. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, in the chapel with Ministers, Josh Holliefield, Kenneth Oliver and Steve Brandon officiating.Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home, LaFayette.
