Alexine Douberly

Alexine Johnson Douberly, 92, of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2013.Mrs. Douberly was born in Nashville and raised in Rockwood, Tenn. She owned and operated Alexines Beauty Salon in Chattanooga for 40 years and was a beautician for 60 years. Mrs. Douberly was a resident of Highland Park for 57 years and was of the Baptist faith from an early age.She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Douberly; parents, Alexander and Amanda Johnson; and sister, Lucille Draper.Surviving are her daughters, Yvonne McLin, of Chattanooga, Yolanda (Curtis) Chesley, of Nashville and Yvette (Terry) Blackwell, of Signal Mountain; grandchildren, Joshua McLin, Justin (Crystal) Chesley, Alyson (Adam) Szczuka, Emily Benton and Emily (Robey) McKown; and great-granddaughter, Josephine.Visitation will be from 10:30 to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.Graveside services will follow at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2013, at Forest Hills Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to Highland Park Commons, P.O.
