Donna Gelbwachs

Donna Tabb Gelbwachs died on Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at Rockville Nursing Home in Maryland, from Alzheimers disease at age 80.Donna grew up in Wausau, Wis., the only child of Aaron and Mollie Ross. She moved to Chattanooga, upon her marriage to Herbert Tabb, and graduated there in 1967 from the University of Tennessee. She worked as a social worker for many years, and later as a travel agent.Married to Herbert Gelbwachs of Atlanta; mother of Steven Tabb, also of Atlanta, and Abby Nathans, of Bethesda, Md.She was preceded in death by her first husband of 35 years, Herbert Tabb.Survived by two beloved grandchildren, Levi and Simon Nathans, and the many dear friends and relatives whose lives she touched along her path through life.Graveside services will be held at BNai Zion Cemetery, 605 Lullwater Road, Chattanooga at 3 p.m. today, March 22.
