Dick Crerar

ROSSVILLE Dick S. Crerar, 89, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2012, at a local healthcare facility. He was a lifelong resident of Rossville.Mr. Crerar was a veteran of the U.S. Marines serving in WWII where he was wounded in the battle of Iwo Jima. He was a member of McFarland United Methodist Church and retired from TVA after 30 years. Dick is preceded in death by wife of 55 years, Hazel Williams Crerar and his parents, C W and Ninnah Crerar.Mr. Crerar is survived by nephew, Richard William Whittenbarger, Chattanooga; nieces, Vicki Boyd, Chattanooga; Cecelia Touchton, Ringgold, and several other nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. today, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Matt Hampton officiating.
