Thurston Rountree

Thurston RountreeROSSVILLE , 72, died Sunday March 24, 2013 at his residence. He was a native of Atlanta, Ga. and has lived in the North Georgia area for the past 43 years. Mr. Rountree retired from the CSX railroad after 41 years where he was a Conductor. Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years Shirley Mullinax Rountree; son, Jeff (Pam) Rountree, of Rossville; daughter Judy (Danny) Weaver, of Rossville; brother Joe Rountree, Atlanta, Ga.; sisters, Louise Hurd, of Peachtree City, Florence Crumley, of Mississippi and Nelda Webster, of Atlanta; 4 grandchildren, Kristie Rountree, Anna Rountree, Casey Kilgore and Courtney Webb; 2 great-grandchildren, Connor Kilgore and Cloee Kilgore. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, in the funeral home chapel with Father Liam Coyne officiating.
