Guerry Trantham

FLINTSTONE Guerry R. Trantham, 71, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2013.She had lived most of her life in the Chattanooga and Flintstone area and was a member of the Gospel Baptist Tabernacle in Rossville. She was a CNA having worked for several Home Health Agencies in the area including Superior Home Health Care. She also was a private sitter over the years retiring in 1992.She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Alfareta McGhee.Survivors include her two sons, James Smith, of LaFayette and Stacy Knight, of Chickamauga; one sister, Marlene Genter, of Rossville; four grandchildren, Perri Smith, Abigail Knight, Lukas Knight and Caleb Knight; and several nieces and nephews.Condolences may be sent to www.lane-southcrestchapel.com.Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Garmany Cemetery with Brother Paul Davis officiating.The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. today at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of Historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
