Julia Loretta Berry, 67, on Thursday, April 25 2013, was welcomed home to eternal rest by our Lord and Savior.She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, friend and a servant of God.Julia Loretta Berry was born March 9, 1946 in Chattanooga. She was a 1967 graduate of Howard High School. Julia was employed at BlueCross BlueShield for several years. She was a faithful member of Christ Hope Missionary Baptist Church.She was preceded in death by her parents, Alice and Russell Lomnick Sr.; brother, Russell Lomnick Jr.; nephew Rodney Lomnick.She leaves to cherish her loving memories, her husband, James Lee Berry; two sons, Roderick Lomnick and Brolin Berry; three sisters, Claudia Lomnick, Brenda Craig, Diane Riley; two sisters-in-law, Patricia (Clifford) Ellis, Maryland, Lowenstein (Ellis) Smith; one brother-in-law, Walter (Effie) Williams, Valdosta, Ga.; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one niece; nine nephews; a host of great-nieces, great-nephews; close cousin, Sophia (Tyrone) Mathis; a very devoted friend, Helen Tracy; other relatives and friends.Service will be held noon Thursday, May 2, 2013, at John P. Franklin Funeral Home Chapel.Interment inForest Hills Cemetery.The body will lie in state after noon today at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Avenue, 622-9995.
