Corinda Overley

Corinda "Kindy" Miller Overley, 86, formerly of Morristown, Tenn., passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at a Chattanooga assisted living facility.Born in Washington, D.C., she spent her childhood in Virginia, graduated high school in Pearisburg, Va., and later attended Virgina Tech. Her life as a homemaker was in Morristown and centered around the First United Methodist Church, the Morristown-Hamblen Humane Society and civic activities. She worked for many years as a Welcome Wagon Hostess in Morristown.She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Earle Overley Jr.; and her parents, Clarence W. and Louise Tyler Miller.Survivors include her sons, Samuel Overley III and Jonathan (Stacy) Overley, of Morristown, Tyler (Rebecca) Overley; and granddaughter, Sarah Jane Overley, of Chattanooga; sister-in-law, Florence Ridderhoff, of Fredericksburg, Va.; and a niece and nephews.A memorial service and committal service of ashes will be held in Morristown at a future date.
