Ida Brewster

CHICKAMAUGA Ida Pauline Brewster, 88, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, May 3, 2013.She was born in Dekalb County, Ala. to the late, Charlie and Fannie Mae Norris, but has lived in the North Georgia area for the last 46 years. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed cooking, especially cakes and apple pies. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved children and cherished her family. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Dwight Brewster; son, LeDon Brewster; and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include her two sons and daughter-in-law, David Brewster and Robert and (Ann) Brewster all of Chickamauga, Ga.; two sisters, Alma Gautney and Mary Southern both of Alabama; four grandchildren, Carol Lawson, JoAnn Lawson, Bobby Brewster and Cody Robertson; several great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 6, in the J. Avery Bryan Chapel of Wilson Funeral Homes with Rev. Charles McElhaney officiating. Burial will follow in the Chickamauga City Cemetery.
