TRENTON Hildon Levern "Mutt" Laney, 79, died Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at his residence.Mr. Laney was retired from U.S. Pipe and Foundry.He was preceded in death by parents, Ruben and Lennie Gay Baker Laney; daughter, Marsha Gay Laney; sisters, Dean Bain, Willie Mae Malone, Maudie Whitzell; brothers, Vance Lamar Laney and Mark "Dude" Laney.Survivors include wife, Edna Gables Cooper Laney; daughters, Amanda (Don) Sullivan, Amy (Deven) Kesler; grandchildren, Kerri Kesler, Kassi Mahan, Matthew Sullivan, Laura Stuart, Joseph Laney and Kera Kesler; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Braxton "Little John" Laney; sisters, Judy Smith, Inez Connors, Mildred Barnes; several nieces and nephews.Leave condolences online at www.cornerstonefuneralchapel.com.Funeral services are 2 p.m. CST Saturday Corner Stone Funeral Chapel with Brother Glen Gables, Michael Smith and Waylon Stewart officiating.Burial will follow in Brown Gap cemetery.Family will receive friends from 1 to 8 p.m. today and 10 a.m. until service time on Saturday.
