Andy AndersonErnest "Andy" Anderson, 78, of Hixson, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 10, 2013.Mr. Anderson was born in Sequatchie County, Tenn., raised in Crossville, Tenn. and a graduate of Chattanooga State. He was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church where he belonged to the Truth Seekers Sunday school class, a US Air Force Veteran and retired from Combustion Engineering after 30 years as a Machinist. Andy was also Past Master of Hixson Masonic Lodge, a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Scottish Rite.He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Bertha Anderson; and step-mother, Lillie Anderson.Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Beverly A. Anderson; sons, Michael (Karen) Anderson and Stephen (Debbie) Anderson; grandchildren, Phillip Anderson, Patrick Anderson, Matt (Jennifer) Anderson, Caleb Anderson and Carrington Bates; great-grandchildren, Brayden and Briley Anderson; brother, Wallace (Jane) Anderson; sister, June (Harry) Fritts; and several nieces and nephews.Visitation will be from 4 to 5:30 p.m. on Monday, May 13, at the funeral home.A Memorial Service will follow at 6 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Bill Harvey and the Rev. James Arland Anderson officiating.
