Glenda Ivey

Glenda Sue Ivey, 69, of Chattanooga, went to be with her Lord on Monday, Nov. 4, 2013. Glenda was a member of North Hixson Church of God. She was a loving wife, mother. Glenda is preceded in death by her parents Bethel and Alice Bates; sister, Gaynell; and son, Mitch Ivey. Glenda is survived by her husband, Al Ivey; daughter, Mitzi Ivey, of Chattanooga; sister, Faye Smith and brother-in-law, Gene Smith; two nieces, Rhonda Hinkle and Gina Smith; several nephews including two great-nephews, Tanner Wright and Garrett Hinkle. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Chattanooga Program in Womens Oncology, to the nurses of the Outpatient Infusion Center of Memorial Hospital and to Hospice of Chattanooga for their love and care. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, at the North Chapel Chattanooga Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 2 p. m. on Thursday, Nov. 7, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Rick Smith officiating. Interment will be held at the Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
