Lois Borchert

Lois Wilson Borchert, 91, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013, at Creekside Villas. A native of Alexandria, La., she was the daughter of the late Bartholomew and Elva Gilbert Wilson. Lois was a faithful pastors wife, whose life revolved around her loving family. Lois and her husband Harold served as missionaries in Japan for 15 years starting in 1952. She was an avid reader and enjoyed researching her family genealogy, and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Lois will always be remembered as a gracious lady and witness to her Lord. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Harold Borchert; three daughters, Susan Yozawa, of Tokyo, Japan, Lois Wilson, of St Augustine, Fla., and Sarah Rydelek and her husband, Greg, of Waynesville; nine grandchildren, Emi, Fumi, Dan, Tim, Joe, Jed, Chris, Corey and Hope; nine great-grandchildren and one sister, Loraine Michiels of Louisiana. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, at Hazelwood Presbyterian Church with Pastor Patrick Womack and Pastor Dan Gilchrist officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in church Fellowship Hall.
