Miriam Stone

Miriam Love Stone, 84, died on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013. Mrs. Stone was a member of Ringgold First Baptist Church for more than 50 years. She was a longtime Sunday school teacher. Mrs. Stone retired from Ringgold Middle school where she taught American History. She enjoyed reading and teaching, and loved to travel. She was preceded in death by her husband, W.N. "Bill" Stone, in December of 2006; her father, John W. Love Sr.; her mother, Inez Love; her special stepmother, Mildred Love; her brother, John W. "Bill" Love Jr.; her sister, Jean Dietzen. Survivors are her son, David (Ellen) Stone; daughters, Nancy Stone (Carl) Whaley, and April Love (Gary) Teem; grandchildren, Josh (Jayne) Hartley, Cayce Love (Paul) Johnson, Tanner Stone, Landon Stone, Chase (Bailey) Teem; great-grandsons, Jackson Hartley and Cooper Teem; brother, Jack (Reba) Love; half-brother, Bryan Love; special niece, Sharon (Jim) Brock; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, 2013, at Ringgold First Baptist Church with Dr. Dan Whitaker and Rev. Jim Baliff officiating. Burial will be at Anderson Cemetery. Mrs. Stone's body will lie in state at the church from noon until 2 p.m. Friday. The family will receive friends from 4 until 8 p.m. today at Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway.
