Joseph Collison

Joseph Lyle Collison, 79, has entered heaven's gates after a race well run and finishing strong on Saturday Nov. 9, 2013; blessed be the name of the Lord. He was preceded in death by, his wife of 57 years: Elfreida Massengale Collison, and a son, Joseph Michael Collison; his parents, Raymond and Louise Catlin, and two brothers, Jack and David Catlin He is survived by children, Richard F. Collison, PhD, and wife, Gail, of Ringgold; Eva Colleen Long and husband, Mark, of York, S.C., and John L. Collison, and wife Melissa, of Ringgold; Grandchildren, Joseph M. Collison Jr., Jeremiah Long, Melissa McDaniel, Amanda German, Courtney Adkins, Holly Collison, Nathaniel Collison and Abigail Collison; and four great-grandchildren, Lucas German, Brayden Collison, Mason McDaniel, and Ella German; sisters, Carolyn Brown, Pat Ewton, Brenda Swafford, and Sharon Kline; brothers, Bill Collison, Donald Mack Catlin, Jerry Catlin, and Denny Catlin. Funeral services will be held on Monday Nov. 11, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway with Rev. Glenn Cavin, Rev. David Brown, and Rev. Jimmy Powell officiating.
