Teresa Pontes

Teresa Ann Pontes, 49, a resident of Apison, passed away Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, at her residence. She was of the Christian faith. She was employed with Direct Auto Insurance as a territory sales manager since 1997. She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Worley. She is survived by her mother, Sandra Faye Worley, of McDonald; two sons, Joshua Pontes and Jason Pontes, both of Apison; one grandchild, Brianna Pontes, of Apison; two sisters, Kila Worley, of Water Valley, Miss., and Sandy Lewis, of Soddy-Daisy; one niece, Tagen Lewis; and one nephew, LeBron Lewis. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner with Pastor Fletcher Farris officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. The family suggests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, 6221 Shallowford Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421.
