Sigmund Blatt

Sigmund Blatt, 85, of Chattanooga, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, at NHC of Chattanooga. A native of Mount Vernon, N.Y., he was a son of the late David and Shirley Askt Blatt. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Douglas Blatt. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and attended Silverdale Baptist Church. Mr. Blatt was a longtime resident of Chattanooga, having worked for American Lava, 3M and the city of Chattanooga. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11:30 a.m. today, Nov. 21, 2013, at Chattanooga National Cemetery with the Rev. Mark Habermas officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. A special thanks to longtime friend, Eddie Manz, as well as the staff of NHC of Chattanooga for their care of Mr. Blatt.
