Velma Mulkey

Velma Dolores Denton Mulkey, 77, passed away on Friday, Nov. 15, 2013. She has been a resident of North Georgia most of her life and attended Smith's Chapel United Methodist Church. Dolores retired from the Chattanooga Electric Power Board after 25 years, and was a beloved wife, mother, and sister who will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, Erb Reno and Velma Byrd Denton; son, Tommy Mulkey Jr.; sisters, Linda Hayes and Carol Hullender; and son-in-law, William Scott Randolph. Dolores is survived by her husband, Thomas R. Mulkey, of Tunnel Hill; daughter, Nancy Beth Mulkey, of Tunnel Hill; sister, Janice Brown, of Cummings, Ga.; brothers, Richard Denton, of Ohio and Michael Denton, of Ringgold; brother-in-law, David G. Hullender; several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. today, Nov. 21, 2013, at Anderson Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 1 p.m. at the funeral home today. Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Home, Wallis Stewart Chapel.
