Inez Reardon

Inez Brindle Reardon, 92, joyously entered her eternal heavenly life Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013. She was a longtime resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia areas. She attended River of Life Church where she was surrounded by the love of Jesus. Mrs. Reardon was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and an amazing friend to all who experienced this life alongside her. At the age of 16, she taught school in a one-room school house. During WWII she faithfully supported our troops by preparing and sewing parachutes, in additional to working fulltime. She then married her husband and soul mate, Lester. The love between her and Lester was an example of a God-designed marriage. Afterwards, she lovingly raised her children and supported her husband as a homemaker. Her time spent working at JCPenney, as her children grew older, was a source of enjoyment for her. She proudly worked alongside her daughter and son-in-law in their family-operated OB/GYN medical practice, Karim N. Iskander M.D. P.C., for over 30 years in the North Georgia and Chattanooga areas. She was beloved by all patients and hospital staff personnel throughout her entire career. Mrs. Reardon was a main part of the intricate fabric that made the practice so successful; bringing invaluable knowledge and warmth to the office each day. In the years after her retirement, she enjoyed traveling the world with her family and exploring new horizons with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Daniel Reardon; her father, Chester Paul Brindle; her mother, Neicie Hawkins Brindle; her brother, Harlan Brindle; her son, Alan Reardon; her son-in-law, Karim Iskander, M.D. She is survived by her daughters, Karen Reardon Iskander and Yvonne Mayberry; son, Lester Daniel Reardon Jr., all of Chattanooga; her brother, C.P. Brindle, of Eton, Ga.; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and nephews, a niece and many cousins. A special note of thanks and appreciation to her granddaughter, Kellie Iskander Norton; grandson, Danny Norton, Myra Sanford and Jennifer Jones for their devoted, limitless and unconditional care and love, with times full of laughter. Her Homegoing Celebration will be at 2 p.m. today at Chattanooga National Cemetery, with her Pastors Alan and Terri Crider officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to River of Life Church, 377 Direct Connection Drive, Rossville, GA 30741, or The American Heart Association .
