DAYTON Mr. Steve Short, 58, died Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013 at his residence. Preceded in death by father, Leon Short; mother, Myrtle Short; 2 sisters, Iva Jean Eargle and Barbara Burgess.Survivors: wife, Jeanette Killian Short, of Dayton, Tenn.; 2 sons, Stewart Short and wife Retha, of Birchwood, Tenn., Sammy Short, of Birchwood, Tenn.; 2 daughters, Karen Short, of Cleveland, Tenn., Jennifer Short, of Birchwood, Tenn.; 2 step-daughters, Jessica West, of Cleveland, Tenn., Laura Hastings, of Birchwood, Tenn.; 1 Sister, Peggy Heard and husband Larry, of Pisgah, Ala.; 6 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild;Funeral services will be held Monday, Oct. 28, at 1 p.m. from Rainsville Funeral Home Chapel with the Bro. David Hairston officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery with Rainsville Funeral Home, Inc. directing, www.rainsvillefuneralhome.com. Visitation will be today from 4-8 p.m. and Monday from Noon to 1 p.m.
