Cherry Evans

Cherry Ann Evans, 46, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013, at a local hospital. She attended Chattanooga Public Schools. She was employed with Wheland Foundry, Popeyes and Marriott.She was a member of Piney woods Baptist Church and served on the Usher Board. Cherry loved walking.She was preceded in death by her husband, Timothy Evans; father, Charles King Sr.; grandparents, Willie Pearl Lewis, Charles Lewis; siblings, Charles King Jr. and Brenda Allen; uncle Herman Brown and Eddie Cutwright.Survivors include her children, Terrell Brown Sr., Lucas Brown, Sr.; grandchildren, Terrell Brown Jr., Mya Sales, Lucas Brown Jr., Nino Brown, Cherion Lyric Brown; mother, Patricia Brown; siblings, Edward (Catrina) Lewis, Frank (Trina) Lovingood, Devotis (Kim) Lovingood, Richard (Linda) Lovingood, Otis Rumph Sr., Horace King, Larry King, Chattanooga, Jessie Allen, of Atlanta, and Ada (Russell) Arnold; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews; close family friends, Tiffany Mathis, Brenda Davis, Veronica Shelton, Tongela Donahue and Ava Williams.Special thanks to Sports Medicine and Parkridge Hospital.Services will be held 1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013, at Stephens Temple with Pastor Ernest Tanner officiating.Interment in Forest Hills Cemetery.The body will lie in state after noon today at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
