Lorene Artrip

LaFAYETTE Lorene Artrip, 90, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013.Lorene was born in Long Island, Ala., to Isaac and Cleo Cooper on May 9, 1923. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in LaFayette. Prior to LaFayette, she resided for many years in Bryant, Ala., with her husband and family.Lorene was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Artrip; her parents; and several of her brothers and sisters.Lorene is survived by five children: son, Tenon Artrip, of Livonia, Mich.; son, Ernie Artrip (Vickie), of Trenton Ga.; son, Mike Artrip (Bonnie), of Chattanooga; daughter, Evonne Boyle, of Marietta, Ga.; and daughter, Kay Wofford (Randal), of LaFayette; eight grandchildren, Christopher Artrip, Catherine Magnusson, Taryn Holman, Patrick Artrip, Tim Artrip, Deborah Mitchell, Jessica Elder and Ashley Smith; and 14 great-grandchildren.The family wishes to extend their gratitude to North Georgia Home Health, Life Choice Hospice, Candye Asher and Tuesday Morgan, of LaFayette, Ga. for their support in her final days.Funeral service will be held at Ryan Funeral Home at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 9, with Rev. Dewey Blalock of Calvary Baptist Church officiating.Burial will follow at Bryant Cemetery, Bryant, Ala.Visitation will be held at Ryan Funeral Home, 11415 S.
