Doris Brymer

Doris Hawkins Brymer, of Hixson, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, at her residence.She was born, one of ten children, in Ridgeway, Va.Doris worked at DuPont in Martinsville, Va., where she met the love of her life, Bill, to whom she was married for 46 years. She was an avid golfer and bowler, and had participated in various roles for the Valleybrook Community Club.She was preceded in death by her husband, W.D. "Bill" Brymer; two brothers; and two sisters.She is survived by her children, Craig (Tay) and Keith (Judith) Brymer; grandchildren, Alex and Lauren Brymer; and also by two sisters and three brothers.The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today, Sept. 10, at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel in Hixson.A celebration of Doris life will be held at Hixson Methodist Church at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 11.Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.Please share your thoughts and memories at www.ChattanoogaNorthChapel.com.Arrangements are by the Chattanooga Funeral Home Crematory & Florist, North Chapel, Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343.
